| | 'TEAM ENGINE! | ] | Last night dad built a "fire" in the livingroom. Both he and mom spoke as though it was going to be this great wonderful thing, but...
1. Smoke in eyes: Do not want
2. They wouldn't let me touch ANY of it! Not even the glowy parts.
3. It was too hot.
4. The whole house smelled of smoke for hours afterwards. WTF?
5. There was a fine rain of ash in the livingroom all evening, and now there is a fine layer of ash all over everything.
Gee, I "can't" "wait" until the next "fire". |

But if there were no fires, there would be no fire engines or firemen.

Careful. Sounds like they're having problems with the chimney or the flue. They might decide they need to get a chimney sweep into clean it and chimney sweeps are often looking for small boys to serve as their apprentices.
I'm not saying that your parents would willingly ignore the 1788 Act for the Better Regulation of Chimney Sweepers and their Apprentices, but no sense taking chances this close to the holidays.
And the fire fighters didn't even come! Fire but no fire trucks!
What a rip off!
Sounds like you might need to give "dad" some pointers when it comes to fires. Maybe in a couple of years you will have perfected your skills enough to demonstrate?
I bet your mum "can't" "wait" either.
